The Healing Power of Purr - Part 1, Cats.

cats_healing-power

Christmas has been a time to give gratitude for many things but who has heard of being thankful for our companion animals? Do you know how much pets work as healers to us or to our family units?

Let's start with kitties because many of you are probably not familiar with the healing ways of cats.
We've asked Dr Patricia Jordan to tell us why cats are known as "Vibrational Healers". If you're not familiar with Dr Jordan she is a certified licensed veterinarian and a Naturopath and has trained in nutrition, homeopathy, Chinese Medicine as well as Eastern, Western, Chinese, Ayurveda Herbalism so is pretty much a planetary herbalist. She has a worldwide consultation service that helps pet parents everywhere get access to natural medicines and nutrition information and she keeps her finger on the pulse of important topics that affect both human and animal health. She has been a guest speaker at numerous worldwide conferences and recently gave a talk on cancer in animals. Check out her article here.

Over to you Dr Jordan.

"In veterinary school, I learned that if you put the same ends of a broken bone that belonged to the same cat together, the bone would just heal. Normally bones must be bought together and then immobilized, but cats have an amazing ability to heal their own bones At the time nobody really understand why but more recently in Hillsboro North Carolina, at the Fauna Research Institute, a place that studies animals, the cat gave them the biggest surprise with regards to bone healing. You see, their purr has a vibrational frequency that sits at the same frequency as lasers used to heal human bones.

Their purr is literally at the same frequency as healing lasers used in medicine! WHO KNEW?

Today, with the research finished, they understand that the cat's purr vibration heals many things, one of them being broken bones. I could write articles on different cases where this was true, but would also have to include the many cases where cats have healed someone else's bones! I think we should hear about these cases because they are phenomenal examples of cross species healing.

Cats are natural healers and the internet is full of Youtube videos of cats doing this type of massage therapy for example, cats preforming this energy healing on dogs, other cats, bunnies, horses and just about every species imaginable.

Cats are also experts at a type of soft tissue manipulation known in China as Tui na Ah moh, sometimes shortened to Tui na which is based around getting the energy moving in the meridians and muscles. My own cats have actually performed this healing technique.

Some time ago my mother had two cats, brothers, black and white and one unfortunately hurt his shoulder. One brother massaged the shoulder in the very area his brother was lame and we have some great videos going on for over 10 minutes, showing this natural healing process going on.

I posted a video of my own cat performing this healing service on my nephew's lower back. My cat also knew a time when I was hurt and actually purred into acupuncture points on my body. So yes, cats have demonstrated that not only can they heal bones but they also know acupuncture and other energy healing techniques.

Probably the most powerful thing to understand, is the fact they've never been taught these procedures, it's something they instinctively know how to do.

Here is my kitty Snowy performing a talent most cats have which is the art of Tui na on my nephew .While I went to Sweden to have the toxic mercury...

Over the years, one thing we have begun to understand is that cats are empaths, are capable of telepathy and show great compassion. Again Youtube is full of videos showing numerous precious empathic interactions between cats, humans and many other animals.

There have been many times at my Cat Clinic where we had to cancel an appointment with a client because their cat couldn't be found to bring it to the veterinary clinic?

With my own cat Shadow, I couldn't make grooming appointments for him from home over the phone. This proves they understand the language we use and what it means. Having cats know what is happening without needing to talk is a very special, precious gift.

Over the years we've also discovered that cats are incredibly sensitive to the earths magnetic forces and are also capable of "psi trailing", this is where cats have the ability to be re-united with their owners once they've moved away great distances.

At Duke University in North Carolina, research was first conducted on "psi tailing" by Dr Joseph Banks Rhine who first coined the term and analysed the incredible journey of cats travelling 1000's of kilometers to be re-united with their lost owner. His daughter Dr. Sally Feathers now carries on the work of her father.

There have been many hypotheses as to how and why cats are able to do "psi trailing" and some think they have the power to do a type of "remote viewing".

This is a power we don't have, so listen up. I have collected many many cases from all over the world of cats doing "psi". The US had one particular case that fascinated me. A family was moving from California to Colorado, 3 or 4 states in distance no matter which way you travelled. Their family cat was spooked with the movers in the house and he got out and went to hide. The family couldn't find him and spent an extra week coming back to the empty house trying to locate their kitty.

Now "psi trailing" with cats is not a matter of a cat returning to where they once lived, it's more to do with them finding the new location of their family, it's more like cats being well, capable of remote viewing/locating.

Five months after the move, the family cat showed up in Colorado, but not to the new family home, rather to the place where in that moment in time the mother of the family was working as a teacher and the young son was a student.

One thing that is remarkable to try to understand is what drove the cat to make such an incredible journey? Why did the relationship matter so much to the family cat that he found his way across 4 states to travel to exactly where their special person was in time?

This is on a whole different level that we still don't quite understand. It's so different from things like magnetic tracing done by homing pigeons or from a pet smelling its way back to where they once had been. Don't you get more than a warm fuzzy feeling when you try to wrap your head around that amount of love and caring?

So not only do cats have the power to heal through their vibrational frequency of their purr, but also through "psi trailing" cats have demonstrated that they are capable of traveling in some cases mountain ranges and very dangerous terrain under very difficult circumstances to reunite with loved ones. So be be thankful for your companion animals as they have very special healing abilities. In part 2 we'll talk about the dogs' ability to heal".
